A familiar sight all over the world:* a selection of home-grown vegetables for sale outside a front door in a city (Addis Ababa in this case) suburb. One of Oxfam's many strands of work is to educate people to grow and eat vegetables.

Agriculture accounts for 85 per cent of employment here, and 90 per cent of export. Most of that export is the bean which Ethiopian farmers discovered and cultivated for the world: coffee
